That’s why I would like to reveal how you can make your website secured. How to make your website secured

The first and probably the most important thing is your login details. Those details must be unique and used only for one website. The reason why it is so important, you never know when the website can be compromised. For example, if your password for website admin panel is the same or similar like your email account, it’s a big chance that doors is opened for intruder to take over both accounts. Also, if login details were delivered to the mail box, it is good decision to store them in a safe place where nobody can’t access them from the internet and delete that mail message.

Strong password should meet the following requirements:

Password length should be at least 8 symbols (recommended 16),

Special characters must be included, for example, !@#$ and so on,

Must consist both letters and numbers.

It is highly recommended to avoid such passwords as “p4ssw0rd”, “pass1234” or even “password”. You should also not use your name or simple dictionary word in the password as it is easy to guess. If you can’t figure it out what password to use, there are lots of good tools to generate password in the internet. Just search for strong password generators and you will definitely find one.

Another thing to consider, is your website don’t have developing bugs? This is mostly related to the content management systems that are not updated to the final version. All CMS has their developers communities where you can find information which is the current version and what security fixes was released. Using older CMS for your website? You might check in the official website what security holes you have and how to get rid of them. Keep in mind that free open source software is being created by volunteer developers and contributors. Everyone gets access to the source code and the only thing you can do is to keep eye on security updates.

Have you ever wondered, why most of online shopping websites and not only them, can be accessed through HTTPS ? It is because they have SSL certificate installed. This feature lets your information to be sent through encrypted way. In this way customer can trust website by knowing that his credit card details will be encrypted and no one will see it in the plain text. To ensure that website is using SSL certificate, you will see a lock in the address field. If you will click on it, you will be able to see if the certificate is valid. If your website is used in commercial purposes, you should really think about getting SSL.

In the final word, keep important information safely and remember, who has information, has the power. Don’t afraid updates. The more security fixes for your system means less ways to make damage for your website. And look for tools, features, experts advices how to be more secured.
