How to add MX record in DirectAdmin?

A mail exchanger record (MX record) is a type of resource record in the Domain Name System that specifies a mail server responsible for accepting email messages on behalf of a recipient’s domain and a preference value used to prioritize mail delivery if multiple mail servers are available. The set of MX records of a domain name specifies how email should be routed with the Simple Mail Transfer Protocol.

To add MX records for your domain you need to:
1. Login to DirectAdmin server control panel.
2. Locate MX Records link.
3. Add MX records and value.

Remember choose the right domain (if you have more than one) to set the MX records.

How to set vacation message in DirectAdmin?

Vacation messages always used if you are unable to check your email for some time. The message will be delivered to the sender which have sent you the message to the email which has been set with vacation message.

In order to set vacation message you need to:
1. Login to DirectAdmin server control panel.
2. Locate Vacation Messages link.
3. Click on Set Vacation Message.
4. Select email address which will be switched with vacation message and enter the massage which you want that sender would receive. Do not forget to set the period when vacation message starts and when it will end.

Also the server system time will be shown for you. The time zone of the server is GMT +1 (Berlin, Germany time GMT +1).

How to use Catch-All emails in DirectAdmin?

Catch-All E-Mail is an email account which allows any email of the form, any@domain.com, to be forwarded or placed into a single email address. For example, webmaster@you.com, info@you.com and anything@you.com, will all be sent to the same email address.

To set Catch-All E-Mail option you need to:
1. Login to DirectAdmin server control panel.
2. Locate Catch-All E-Mail link.
3. First option ‘Fail’ will inform the sender that email does not exists. Second option ‘Ignore’ will ignore the email. Third option ‘Address’ will send the email to the address which you will enter into the field which is located bellow the third option or you will be able to select the default user which email address is youraccountname@yourdomain.com.
