How to compress files in DirectAdmin?

To compress files in DirectAdmin you need to be logged in. After you log in, click File Manager or Files. Once you are in the file manager, select files that you need to compress. Then at the bottom of the page type in archive file name in which selected files will be compressed. After few moments, archived file will appear with compressed files. You also can choose file type between tar.gz and zip.

Why is my account not active immediately after registration?

After creating an account or resetting your password, a user will need to wait 30 minutes until his account will be activated or changes have been applied to their account. This is due to security reasons and server stable work. Once your account is active, your website will also be active.

If you want to change your control panel password:
1. Login to your control panel with existing credentials. (The login form is just on the top of Host1Free.com index or any other page).
2. Locate password field.
3. Type in your password in the first and the second password fields.
4. Click SAVE.

How to create email account in Thunderbird?

1. Go to Mozilla Thunderbird, from the Tools menu select Account Settings.
2. Select Email account, and then click Next.
3. Enter your name and e-mail address.
4. Select POP or IMAP as the type of incoming server you are using. Your incoming server is mail.youdomain.com for POP, or for IMAP then Click Next.
5. Enter your e-mail address for the Incoming User Name, and Outgoing User Name then Click Next.
6. Enter a name for your email account and click next.
7. Verify your account information and click finish. In the Account Settings window, select Outgoing Server listed below your new account.
8. Type mail.yourdomain.com for the Server Name the default port remains the same (25).
9. Select Use name and password and enter your e-mail address. Thunderbird will ask you for your password the first time you try to send mail. Click OK.

How to transfer my existing website to Host1Free.com?

To transfer your website from existing web hosting service to Host1Free.com you need to:
1. Backup all you website.
2. Download the backup of your website.
3. Connect to your Host1Free.com web hosting account via FTP.
4. Create directory in your FTP root directory user_backups.
5. Login to DirectAdmin server control panel.
6. Locate Create/Restore Backups and select your uploaded archive to Restore.
