How to upload files in DirectAdmin?

First of all, login to DirectAdmin and go to File Manager. Navigate to decided directory where you will upload your files. Now click Upload files to current directory and choose files to upload. Remember that DirectAdmin has 10.0 MB file upload limit. Once you selected file that you want to upload click Upload Files button. After upload process will be finished, selected files will be located in the current directory.

What are the ways to manage my files?

There are several ways that you can use to manage your files in Host1Free.

The first one is through DirectAdmin. Once you are logged in to DirectAdmin, click File Manager and you will access all your files and directories. DirectAdmin have major features for managing files and directories: you can edit, rename, copy, set permissions, upload, create, compress, extract your files.

Second way is through FTP. To access it, use one of FTP client software, for example FileZilla. Login details should be emailed to your email. In general, it is ftp.yourdomain.com or ftp.box_number.host1free.com, username – your DirectAdmin username, password – DirectAdmin password. Once logged in you will also access your files and should be able to use all FTP software features to manage your files.

Third way is by using Host1Plus Web FTP client. There you will need to type in your login details. If they will be correct, you will see your files in web based FTP client. There you will also get all features to manage your files.

What are the limits for your servers?

Currently, our Safemode Value is off, curl and gd is enabled. The maximum size for uploading a file is at 32 megabytes and our servers is pretty lenient on the type of extensions you may upload.

Allowed:
-Own banners/advertisements.
-Commercial/Business sites.
-Personal sites.

However we strictly prohibit the following:
-Illegal content.
-Nulled, Pirated, or any other content that bypasses, violates, or counters a copyright or other license/agreement.
-Proxies.
-IRC related content.
-Filesharing, P2P, or any other content that interfaces with such a service (Rapidshare, Bit Torrents, etc…).
-Free/Paid Hosting Services of any kind (image, file, web, e-mail, etc…).
-Browser based games.

How to upload the files for an add-on domain?

After you have assigned the addon/pointed domain via your Direct Admin, there will be a sub-folder created in your “public_html” folder (i.e. “/public_html/addon_domain_foldername”).

You will need to upload the files for this pointed/addon domain to the subfolder created.
