Has anybody was able to get a free hosting account in recent past?

Has anyone received any email after email to verify email-id? We are supposed to get a mail with account details.

I feel that the whole affair is a hoax just to attract people to their website.

Free service does not mean that you are free to eat up other people's time and energy to promote your business without giving anything in return.

Spam emails are free 'service' too.

During n-th attempt to register (I forgot the value of n, it is certainly a double digit figure), I was pleasantly surprised to receive an email with log-in details.

I am currently exploring the hosting features. My first impression about the control Panel - It is lousy. Script installer - pretty useless - does not have any of the popular scripts.

My 'pleasant surprise' ended. I was able to upload a test website, addred a test domain, created an 'A' record with at current DNS server. The site was working. That is the end of it. On the second day attempts to ligin into direct admin control panel returned a blank page. Absolute blank, white page. The status continues.

Since I find that there is absolutely no support, I called it a day and terminated the account. What a waste of time and energy!

After waiting for few days I signed up for hosting account again. This time it went through quickly and logging into direct admin control panel is also smooth. Probably there had been some serious stability issues.

I suggest that people (either administrators or others who know about the system problems) reply to posts reporting such issues. Otherwise a a glance at the forum postings with many people complaining without getting any reply leads to the conclusion that the whole affair is a hoax (Which I did).

I am sorry for the observation and withdraw it.

About script installer- It seems that many popular applications have been added now.

About the control panels: I stick to my remarks. It is confusing.

Sorry about your problems. I was installing a website several day's ago. It works from the beginning like a charm. I only hope this provider will have a long live. I also deciding it as my test-server. Kan not say a bad word. To use it for free is a other extra I'm appreciating very much. Money is a problem when you have to live from a minimum.
