Which is the right folder where to upload the files from an existing website?

I've just started working with this hosting, I have redirect the DNS from the previous server to host1free and I'm trying to upload all the files of my website here. But I'm not sure that I'm doing things right. I have this on my file manager: 3 folders named domains, imap and public_html. In the DOMAINS folder I can see 2 sub-folders, my domain and my sub-domain. I'm uploading files on my domain sub-folder, in the public_html sub-sub-folder. Is it right?
Or I have to upload the files in the other folder named public_html? I tried to do it via ftp, but when I try to open that folder I am redirect to the public_html folder in my domain folder...
    Thanks for your help!

    Hello,

Files must be uploaded in domain public_html directory.
