Hi,

I just created a hosting account and provided an existing domain that is not currently hosted, I got the ftp details and uploaded my html files. Does anyone know how long it will be until the website will pick up the files i uploaded via ftp??

Welcome to Host1Free. If you have domain and want to point to your hosting account, you need to change domain name servers to ns1.host1free.com and ns2.host1free.com. It might take up to 12 hours for DNS settings to be completely propagated.

I have done as told.
Please can you tell me if I have done it correctly?

domain: allisonbaete.com

The domain now seems to point to your company however both the domain and temporary domain are not working. All the files have been uploaded but yet nothing seems to display.

Hello,

Name servers is still not ns1.host1free.com and ns2.host1free.com. From this report intoDNS: allisonbaete.com - check DNS server and mail server health name servers is ns0.phase8.net. ['85.233.160.69']
ns1.phase8.net. ['85.233.160.68']
ns2.phase8.net. ['85.233.164.62']

Make sure that you have changed name servers to ns1.host1free.com and ns2.host1free.com.

Thanks again... under the current host DNS settings I have set these details (as it was on my last reply to your post). Can you please tell me if this is correct or not?

allisonbaete.com A 94.249.139.6
allisonbaete.com NS ns1.host1free.com
allisonbaete.com NS ns2.host1free.com

Basically they give me the choice to select A/TXT/CNAME/NS, so I entered the above.
Not sure what I am doing wrong, can you please help?

Hello! According to information I just got from DNS servers, your domain has such NS records

allisonbaete.com. 86400 IN NS ns0.phase8.net.
 allisonbaete.com. 86400 IN NS ns1.phase8.net.
 allisonbaete.com. 86400 IN NS ns2.phase8.net.

Before it'll work, you have to change them to ns1.host1free.com ns2.host1free.com. You can change them via domain's control panel or contacting your domains provider(site where you bought it). By the way, it's possible that you should wait 24 hours untill the domain will be propagated on DNS servers around the world.
