Sometimes able sometimes not able to enter DirectAdmin

Hoi,

My directadmin asked me to enter username and password again and again though I entered the same correct my username and password. Meanwhile at the same time entering my ftp account via filezilla was not a problem, using the same username and password.

Before I had had the same problem but the next day I could enter my directadmin. And now I can't again.

Kindly let me know why.

My username is indore3 and I am on box11. Couple of minutes ago I tried again but still not able to. Ftp with same username and password is no problem, I can upload or edit files.

Have you tried to change DirectAdmin password ? Are you getting any error message ?

No never yet, the control panel still shows me the same username and password. And none of error message showed up, the login and password field always emptied in couple of seconds after I hit enter or clicked login button

You can try to reset your password by clicking Reset Account in control panel, but all your files will be deleted.

I see, but I'll do it in case my ftp didn't work either.

Meanwhile I am now inside the DirectAdmin by accident when I clicked my browser back-button and saw my username on the username field, then I enter my password and then I entered. But when I clicked any links there, i.e ftp management, change password etc, I would face login page again.

On the address bar of browser I saw like this h++p://box11.host1free.com:2222/CMD_SHOW_DOMAIN?domain=my_domain but the page is login page.

Any other options before reset account? Reseting account will not guarantee that I will not face such a problem again, right?

An hour ago I managed to enter my DirectAdmin, I tried some applications (created mail account, subdomain) and worked.

Then I logged out. And failed again to login into DirectAdmin. What is going on?

Well, seems none can give me solution to solve it. It is okey however because I can still login now and then.

I once guessed that my IP address contributed this problem because my machine IP is not dedicated one, changes frequently. But from the login history I notice that my different IPs (in a range of ***.***.***.226 - ***.***.***.242) managed got inside.

Then I don't need to reset my account and I think this thread can be closed

When I succeeded in entering DirectAdmin it showed 1 attempt, when not it showed more than 1 attempt (again and again asking username and password)
