NEED HELP PLEASE When I go to: box12.host1free.com:2222
Your IP is blacklisted (resolved)

I was logged in through DirectAdmin and was using Softaculous to install the phpgedview, and then this happened while I was waiting for installation to complete.

The web browser I use is firefox 8

I still can access box12.host1free.com and I can also login with ftp

it seams it is just the server control panel at port 2222 that has my ip address
67.54.216.39 blacklisted for some reason.

5. Your IP is blacklisted in /usr/local/directadmin/data/admin/ip_blacklist. This is controlled by the "brute force login detection" in Admin Settings. Use a setting no lower than 10, since even loading the login page counts as 1 failed attempt.

I can't connect to DirectAdmin on port 2222

To remove yourself from the blacklist, edit:

/usr/local/directadmin/data/admin/ip_blacklist
and remove your IP from the list.

I get "Your IP is blacklisted" when I try to login

It's kind of hard to manage the server when it has my ip address blocked, and I did nothing to caused this. No repeated login attempts. so this must be some kind of bug.

Would it be possible for an Admin to manually remove my ip address from the ip_blacklist file?


I have waited about 17 hours, and the server control panel still says "Your ip is blacklisted" so I assume this means the timeout for the blacklist is set to an extremely long period, or set to never.

Your IP was removed from the blacklist. Now you should be able to access DirectAdmin.
