    Prestashop modules loadout problem

Problem: All modules cannot be loaded due to memory limit restriction reason, please increase your memory_limit value on your server configuration
Maybe someone has had a problem with prestashop modules loadout? Thank you for your response.

    Hello galmak,

Could you please tell me your website URL, so that we could have a look, also could you please let me know the modules that are in the prestashop by default are they loading or not?

    Hi all,

prestashop requires a minimum of 128 Mbyte for having it running without errors. this can be found in a couple of forum posts of Prestoshop.

Yes this is true. By the way, (that is only my personal opinion). If you are serious about your online shop, why not to get the premium web hosting, as I guess in many ways you want to use SSL certificate, have customized php.ini files. With free web hosting you still can run prestashop, but it will be limited to yourself and to your visitors. If you are struggling for money, well we can offer the discount.
Also, regarding more memory, we would not like to make changes to our php.ini files under Host1Free as many of websites (the majority of them) can perfectly run under the existing php.ini settings. Hmmm...but I really do not remember that is the limit for our php.ini file, maybe somebody can remind me? Maybe we really need to make some increase in memory limit?

    Hi Casius,

PHPInfo tells me that the memory_limit is set to 32M

Another issue could happen with the max_execution_time which is 10 seconds. This could be also a little bit short for some longer running scripts.

128 M is four times larger than the current size, so there might other problems occur if it will be increased on your boxes.

Well, we can make like 20 seconds, but...this is what free hosting is to host a small websites and for the small websites I guess 10 seconds is like an hour but correct me if I am wrong. Guys, let's do this way. Suggest us the settings for the servers and we could say that we together configured the servers for our needs instead of we have restricted something

    Re: Prestashop modules loadout problem

    Hi Casius,

with 10 seconds you might run in mure problems than with 30 seconds

I'm currently setting up a Joomla Test-Environment. A couple of newser components failed to install because they need more than 10 seconds for getting fully excecuted. Of course a workaround can be used (manually install the component by FTP), but i think in the future there will be more of these longer running scripts.

For smaller websites you are absolutely right, but more and more users are using CMS based websites like Joomla, Typo3, Wordpress etc. also for smaller sites.

The core components of the CMS Typo3 for example failed to install from scratch, because the installation needs a minimum time of 60 seconds in php.ini.

I would suggest to slightly increase the execution_time limit and monitor the server if it's getting slower for the users.

Ok, so let's do one thing. I will create a new thread with the requesting features or updates to the server and I hope together we can make a reasonable php.ini file. This is that thread: New Year's Wish List for Host1Free.com
In this case we will have all the things in one place and we would be able to gather all this and put it on our New Year road map!

Cool and by the way. If you are our new member you should receive the Christmas promo voucher $50 which allowed for any annual web hosting plan in Host1Plus (Web Hosting & Cloud VPS Hosting Services, Domain Names - Host1Plus.com), so in this case you could have your premium web hosting for $4 for WHOLE YEAR!
Also, I will have a look to the php.ini setting by next week to see what it can be improved in Host1Free.com.
