I am afraid we will not be able to open allow_url_fopen for you. May I know why you need it to be opened ? Maybe you could use fsockopen() instead of allow_url_fopen().

I use Icy Phoenix Forum, and one of the functions of this forum is to preview the images pasted into the post, both hosted on the server, such as copying images from other web url.

The MOD can not generate a fingerprint on file, and therefore is not possible to go to cache image dimensions. This creates images that forum can not be previewed, since the found allow_url_fopen off, does not receive instructions forum resize the images.

We van try with fsockopen, may be works

I'm really happy with HOST1FREE, but my forum website is important to preview the images, so that it is more dynamic.

I understand that perhaps can not enable allow_url_fopen option to state "On" for technical questions, but if they can make an exception, I will be greatly appreciated!
