Unable to access website

I am a new user with Host1Free.com and need help with a simple thing. Hopefully I do not need to start a new installation, but if so then I will do so.

I was trying to configure the directory of where Wordpress is installed, I did not like it being installed at myowndomain.com/wp

It meant users, search engines and any other viewer/visitor had to use this URL to access the website. I just wanted it to be correctly configured and in doing so it seems I have now pointed configuration of the installed directly to one that does not exist and there is no way for me to even access it to change this config, why is such a problem even possible in the first place?

All I did was fill in the box, if you want your URL for your website homepage to be different from your installed directory changed from myowndomain.com/wp > myowndomain.com

The way in which it was displayed as an explanation seemed as though it meant the URL home page, because that is what it said.

I know I messed up. This is my first attempt at using my own domain name with wordpress. Please advise, is it possible to rectify this mistake?

Before I messed this up it worked perfectly: Only at an address I do not wish for anyone to use. .com/wp as my homepage :sigh

Even my domain name registers nameservers updated instantly! To load the site at /wp

The weird thing is, the website does actually load at the old address of /wp still and if I use .com then nothing loads except 404 host1free.com landing page.

I've opted to start a fresh installation, only this is not working either now. It will not allow me to select my domain name even though the configuration of this is nothing to do with installation of wordpress. I already setup nameserver with that when I first signed up with this site. Hmm...will update if things improve.

OK, to get back on that. No it is not possible to install anything now even. Since the domain name is not even showing in the drop down box list as an option to install a site for. Very buggy setup here. Why is this not fixed? I am starting a clean install. Please help me, tech support.

I have tried setting my domain name as the default one used for installations under site management panel and it has made no difference. Please help me. I have done all I can do in my power now. I can do no more without help from support.

I am resetting the site account. Will update if it fixes things or not!

Unfortunately account reset does not fix it. And there is no support from host1free.com from what I have read they count it as being support for software. Well, it is not down to user input or support for software, it is their site does not work support even after a complete reset! Time to look elsewhere then.
