I’ve been doing websites and using hosting companies for 12 years. 1and1 is the worst I’ve ever found. On average the server I rent from them has crashed every 4 days since early February. I have to go into the control panel and power-cycle it to reboot. 1and1′s tech support (and sales, billing, and complaints) department claims you have to prove it’s their fault the server is crashing before they’ll repair or replace a server. 1&1 is the worst nightmare, be away if you are not costumer, the took away one of my websites and charged me with 40 U$D to bring one of domain back.
I never see a rude and un-polite customer service, they are thieves, keep safe your credit card.
